Dancers achieve great success at local competition!

Last spring, after months of training, the hard work paid off for Pointe of Grace Dancers. During a three day competition in Montreal which included hundreds of dancers and performances, both the senior (age 13 and over) and junior (age 12 and under) dancers were selected to perform several of their routines in the competitions prestigious finale, "The Diamond Dance Off". Members of the Pointe of Grace Competitive team represented themselves in 12 dances, setting a record for the school.

The Diamond Dance off revealed talent from all across Ontario and Quebec In genres such as hip hop, jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, step and tap dancing. One of the company's senior level dances a contemporary piece tilled "Under Pressure" took lop honours winning the coveted Senior Diamond Dance off banner and cash prize.

Now, after a much deserved summer break, the dancers are back in the studio training for another fantastic dance season. Last week students held the privilege of taking Intensive workshop classes with guest teachers chat flew In from all over the country. Rodrigo Basurto, a top 20 contestant from So You Think You Can Dance Canada, was among some of the tremendous talent that came to educate the dancers.
