Fleetway Inc.

Fleetway’s track record of exceptional customer service began in 1984 with Saint John Naval Systems (SJNS), a Halifax, Nova Scotia-based company formed to provide engineering and logistics support to the Canadian Patrol Frigate (CPF) program (Halifax Class).

Over the years, the company expanded, building a team of Project Managers, engineers, technologists, technical writers and trainers that specialized in integrated logistics support, consulting and engineering support services.

Key staff were transferred to SJNS from both Saint John Shipbuilding Limited and Halifax Shipyard, which had previously acquired German Marine -- the designers of the 12-ship MCDV class. SJNS continued providing engineering and logistics support to the CPF program, and operated as the engineering component of Irving Shipbuilding.

In 1997, SJNS acquired and merged with Fleetway Consulting Services in Ottawa, Ontario, forming a new company -- Fleetway Inc. This company, with offices in Ottawa and Halifax, delivered extensive Product Data Life Cycle Maintenance services to the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND), becoming the In-Service Support contractor for both the Halifax Class frigates and the Iroquois Class destroyers. The company also expanded into Supply Chain management services for Eastern Canada's Oil & Gas industry.

Fleetway has since added several other Irving Group companies, including AQTS, ANDT and CFM, and their offices in Saint John, New Brunswick and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This consolidation has brought new customers in the pulp and paper and industrial sectors and has enabled Fleetway to provide increased customer value through offering a broader range of services.
