The concept of the Art Bank is as valid today as it was 36 years ago. There have been changes over the years, but our mandate is still the same: to support and promote Canadian artists by making their works accessible in offices and public spaces across Canada.
With some 18,000 paintings, prints, photographs and sculptures by over 2500 artists, The Canada Council Art Bank is home to the largest collection of contemporary Canadian art. All are available for rent by corporations, institutions, government departments and agencies - and at surprisingly affordable rates.
