Christian Hit Radio Inc

2006 brought on some changes to Family Radio CHRI; new management, a new name, and a new vision.

A church service was held on Thanksgiving Monday (October 9th) to re-dedicate the station to the Lord and His direction. With this new directed focus, we established our new Mission, Vision and Values.

Christian Hit Radio Inc (aka: CHRI) in Ottawa officially launched on March 30th, 1997.

With program and format changes, CHRI began operating as "Family Radio" on January 1st, 2006.

Mission
To use media to encourage, challenge and equip individuals to respond to God’s call through Jesus Christ.

Vision
As a Christian media network in the National Capital Region, we accomplish this by:

CHRI is a radio station that's safe for the whole family

You've probably heard that phrase on CHRI many times. And we take our commitment to being Ottawa’s only family friendly place on your radio dial very seriously.

You can hear it in the music we play. It's always positive and always uplifting.

You can hear it in the voices and words of our personalities. They know that you rely on CHRI to be a place that you don't have to worry about listening, even when kids are in the car.

There are plenty of radio stations out there that tell crass jokes and use harsh words, and seem to be out to shock you at any cost. That's not what we do. We don't mind being a little different and lot more family friendly.
